MetroTV

PT Media Televisi Indonesia is a subsidiary of Media Group, a media business group led by Surya Paloh, who is also the owner of the Media Indonesia newspaper. PT Media Televisi Indonesia obtained a broadcasting license in the name of "Metro" on October 25, 1999. On 25 November 2000, Metro TV aired for the first time in the form of broadcast trial in 7 cities. At first only bersiaran 12 hours a day, starting April 1, 2001, Metro began bersiaran for 24 hours. From initially start operations with 280 employees, currently Metro employs more than 900 people, mostly in the newsroom and production areas.

On 20 May 2010, Metro introduced a new logo and slogan. The new logo still uses the eagle emblem and the basic colors of blue and yellow, but with Handel Gothic Italic typeface that gives the impression of a modern, fresh and futuristic. Placement of the logo was also changed from its original position at the top right corner into the bottom right corner, this placement is also different from television stations in Indonesia which was situated still in the corner right / left over.
